Cozy family nest in the center of Barcelona

The building in which this apartment is located was built in the eighteenth century in the Gothic quarter of Barcelona. When remodeling and redesigning the space, the designers had two tasks: on the one hand, to preserve the historical flavor, on the other – to add light to the room. As a result, it was possible to increase the ceiling and window openings, also demolished the non-bearing walls that impeded the entry of natural light, and expanded the doorways. At the same time, the ceiling looks exactly the same as a century ago. The interiors turned out to be very modern, natural materials prevail: wood, linen, wool, straw products. The twist to this apartment is given by bright and funny details: pillows, bedspreads, vases, paintings.
