This townhouse of 70 sqm in New York’s West Village was built back in 1817 and recently was completely renovated by the beautiful studio MAD. Thanks to the preservation of some original architectural elements of the building, such as a brick wall, wooden floor and ceiling beams, and modern design techniques and furniture, the authors managed to create an incredibly stylish urban housing. The two-level housing structure made it possible to separate the public and private zones: an open living room with a kitchen is located on the first floor, while a bedroom with a dressing room and a bathroom is on the top. Great job!
