Eclectic apartment in Budapest

To begin with, the house, in which this wonderful apartment in Budapest is located, is very old – it was built in the 19th century and stores many memories of the events that had to endure. Since the building saw a change in eras, and, therefore, styles, eclecticism in this situation is understandable. First of all, we can note the retro style, which is emphasized by heavy dense curtains, round lamp shades. This was very much in demand at the beginning of the last century. Armchairs, ottomans, wallpaper ornament and lacquered floors – all in a characteristic retro manner. Along with this, modern elements have also become full attributes here. Plastic transparent chairs, colors on decorative pillows, some lamps, tiled floors – all this is a tribute to modernity, with its speeds, utilitarianism, brightness and restraint.
