This top floor loft is unique for at least two reasons. Firstly, this is not exactly an apartment, but a room on the top floor of a new hotel in a historical building of the 19th century in Astrakhan, Russia, the reconstruction of which is just coming to an end. And secondly, a family of young owners of this hotel lives in it. The couple did not choose the largest room in the house for living – only 43 square meters – but this is the part of the building where the sun shines from dawn to dusk, which played a decisive role. Owner Anna (the chief architect of the project) and her husband (managing the hotel) have quite different design preferences, but an excellent compromise in tastes was achieved in this design.
