The Butler family, owners of this lake home in Ohio, USA, claim that they didn’t think at all about buying real estate; but one day the head of the family came across an ad for the sale of this house by the lake and fell in love with it at first sight. A log cottage was built at the edge of Pleasant Hill Lake in 2003. The house did not need major changes, however, according to the owner, the interiors had to be made warmer and more comfortable. So the walls became white, the house was filled with charming trifles, textiles of pastel shades and cozy accessories. The heart of the house is the backyard and the marina: here a friendly and very large family loves to get together on a barbecue and play cards on a cozy veranda surrounded by lights. This project proves that at the edge of the water house houses have a special magic of warmth and comfort.
