When we hear the word ‘chalet’, we usually imagine huge houses, where wooden beams contrast with luxurious refined elements of decor, where in spacious living rooms there is a lot of open space and massive interior items. But this work by talented American-French designer Marianne Tiegen differs from typical chalets. This is a small house, with very cozy rooms and soulful rooms. There are no large spaces and high ceilings. This house is similar to the one that can be built with a tolerable budget; simple natural materials are used in the decoration: linen textiles of warm shades, a lot of wood and stone. In the color scheme, the designer did not choose bright accents and thanks to this project turned out to be unique. The bathroom is just awesome: hidden plumbing, plastered wall and frayed frame – and we seem to be in a different time and space!
