Secluded mountain residence for a family

A couple with two young children had long dreamed of a spacious and comfortable suburban home for their growing family. Their new house, located at the foot of the mountain and designed by Carney Logan Burke, combines the simple and concise forms of modern architecture and the coziness of a mountain chalet. The color palette is rather restrained – neutral cream, brown, and gray shades – borrowed from the surrounding landscape. But the greatest luxury of this design is the natural light that floods the rooms through huge, sometimes to the whole wall, windows, creating a very comfortable and inspiring living environment!
