Hotel National des Arts et Métiers is located opposite to the Museum of Arts and Trades in Paris. In addition, the spaces were designed by famous designer and artist Rafael Navo – these two facts helped to create not just another hotel, but a unique and very interesting place. Navo prefers to use natural materials and various textures in the interiors, hence the abundance of different fabrics, textures and materials in hotel decor. A smooth wall in combination with rough plaster, a “ribbed” column and a flat mirror surface, flax and velvet, glass and stone and many more contrasting details – you want to touch everything here. This “tactility” is the main feature of the design and this makes the hotel so inspiring!
