When designer Tjimkje de Boer was asked how it is to live in a former munitions factory near Amsterdam, she replied: “Well, I like the character and scale of this unique house, and its past does not bother me at all.” It should be noted that the interior decoration of the house is quite specific: spacious ascetic rooms, cracked walls, which, nevertheless, coexist with bright modern furniture and textiles.
