When Evgenia Matvienko first got into this apartment of 59 sqm in one of the new buildings in Moscow, Russia, it was one open room with virtually no walls, abundantly filled with light. The designer decided not to spoil this airy feel and build on the open plan when zoning the space. Thus, the bedroom was separated from the living room only with a transparent glass partition, while the living room smoothly flows into the bright kitchen overlooking the river. Interestingly, due to its color scheme, the project received the name ‘Sand Island’ from the authors. Enjoy!
