This gorgeous apartment in Barcelona was acquired by a family from England. The monumentality of arches and ceilings, as well as the charming wall paintings captivated them, but during the renovation, it was important to bring modern touches to the interiors. An interesting decision was to place the kitchen right in the center of the apartment. The room is decorated with tall Art Deco windows, the kitchen has been a continuation of the wall, and the island has taken center stage. It turned out to be unusually long and roomy, and a gold finish on top and bottom emphasized its decorative, and not just everyday function. Some pieces of furniture were custom made to maintain the spirit of the 1920s. But the bathroom reflects, rather, the atmosphere of the 2020s – elegant minimalism and a stylish freestanding bathtub with a luxurious copper faucet. Magnificent home in the spirit of modern Barcelona!
