Spanish studio Zooco recently completed the reconstruction of an old rural house in the province of Cantabria in Northern Spain. The project involved the restoration of the existing building, as well as the one-story block extension with an open plan and several exits directly to the garden. The main idea of the new design was the minimal boundaries between the interiors and the environment – hence a lot of wood and natural materials in decoration, as well as large windows for plentiful daylight. Nice modern home for a rural vacation!
