Centennial villa with a small garden in the heart of Madrid

A family owns this villa in Madrid since 1920, that is, the fourth generation of this family is happy to call this place home. In a hundred years, much has changed: the style, the materials, and the concept of comfort. The owners asked the designer to refresh the interiors, adding more light and a sense of coziness, but not to forget about the cool design solutions. The first floor is not divided into rooms: the living room smoothly flows into the kitchen-dining room, from where you can get into the green courtyard. Look at the non-standard use of tiles in the kitchen – the ceiling is decorated with rectangular green tiles, and the hood seems to soar in the air, this helped not to overload the space. Another nice solution for the ceiling is stucco molding and sockets with ornaments, they decorate both the first and second floor. In the master bedroom, the designer housed antique restored furniture and an elegant crystal chandelier that gives the room a romantic mood. Just a charming home!
