For many years this seven-story building on the banks of the Thames served as an office. But recently, a team of talented designers converted it into a cozy hotel with the long name Locke at Broken Wharf. The hotel has as many as 113 rooms, and its delicate creative interiors contrast interestingly with this part of London – next to austere office buildings, skyscrapers and the famous Millennium Bridge. The designers managed to combine industrial style and pastel colors in one space: the ceiling with open communications, concrete columns and metal objects are combined with beige and dusty pink shades and an abundance of plants. In the rooms, the loft style disappears and gives way to eclecticism: here there is a modern style, and minimalism, and oriental motives, and boho, but still the main leitmotif: spring shades, flowers, birds and an abundance of textures. This hotel is a warm, and even a little tropical, corner in bustling London!
