Italian Renaissance reimagined: Hotel Como Castello Del Nero in Tuscany

Just 30 minutes from Florence and Siena, in the heart of the Chianti wine region, lies the 12th-century castle, now the Como Castello Del Nero. The nature of Tuscany, with its green hills and slender rows of cypress trees, is beautiful in itself, but this hotel fits into the local landscape just as wonderfully. The architects, of course, preserved the wall frescoes and vaulted ceilings, but made the interiors more laconic and lively due to modern furniture, muted tones and moderation in the decor. The terrace and pool area turned out to be elegant but modest – it’s hard to compete with such views. Designers and architects managed to modernize the interiors in the Renaissance style, and move the building from the twelfth century to the twenty-first century. It is this curious mix, as well as the amazing nature that attracts guests from all over the world!
