Traditional facade, modern interiors: renovated summer cottage on the coast in Denmark

Henrietta and her husband fell in love with the coastal area north of Copenhagen when they first came here on vacation. They were soon looking for a home to move here with their two children. When they finally found this charming 100-year-old cottage between the sea and the forest, the real estate agent urged them to tear the house down and build a new, more modern one in its place – so poor was its condition. But the new owners decided to preserve the unique traditional facade, completely remaking its interiors. What came of it – see in our today’s photo tour!
