Design hotel in 1910 building in Kazan

The new Kazan Palace by Tasigo is located in an early 20th century building on Kalinin Street in Kazan. The house was built in 1910 by the Shakhov family and served as a city hospital for almost a hundred years, until in the 2000s the building was declared emergency. Renovation began in 2016 and is now home to a stunning design hotel. During the reconstruction, the brick facade was completely polished and restored, the arched passageways were opened and transformed, and the courtyard was covered with a glass roof. Inspired by the culture of Tatarstan, the designers have decorated the hotel with traditional prints and custom-made furniture and decor. Also, the creators were inspired by the avant-garde movement, hence the love for geometry and special shades of yellow, blue, red. The hotel has 66 rooms, five restaurants and a large spa area with pool and saunas. We can admit that Kazan has acquired another stylish and modern architectural object!
