Contemporary style and Japanese culture: the K5 hotel in a former banking building in Tokyo

How about a bit of exotic on Wednesday morning?:) Japan, to put it mildly, is not a frequent guest on our blog, but as we know it is a country with a great culture and interesting traditions. Today we want to share one of their most striking projects of recent times – the reconstruction of a former bank building in the very center of the capital. Swedish studio Claesson Koivisto Rune has transformed a historic building that survived the bombing of World War II into a stylish and unique K5 Hotel with its own character and atmosphere. We just love the play of light and textures in the interiors of the hotel. Wonderful job!
