Buildings can have different destinies – some all their lives perform the functions for which they were built, while others change their purpose over time. So this house in Brooklyn, which once housed a veterinary clinic, has now become a residential townhouse. And this transformation turned out to be wonderful: a lot of light enters through the large windows, which is beautifully diffused by the white walls. The original high ceilings and wooden beams gave the designer the idea to create the atmosphere of a country home here. A fireplace, leather furniture, wooden inserts helped a lot with this, and the spacious rooms do not at all resemble urban housing. Light, modern and cozy – a great new life!
