Contemporary design and art breathed new life into this historic Madrid apartment

This apartment in a glorious 19th-century house in the heart of Madrid belongs to a family who moved to Spain from the United States, for whom the project of its renovation has become a real adventure. The dwelling had gorgeous initial data: bright rooms, smoothly flowing into one another, high ceilings with stucco molding, as many as 12 balconies for the entire apartment and views of the Prado National Museum. To complete the project, the family brought in local architects, who filled the interiors with light modern designs and vibrant pieces of art. What came of it – see in our today’s photo tour!
