New additions to a home that is more than fifty or one hundred years old is a frequent story in Australia. This time, the renovation involved an old brick cottage in the city of Perth. The building got a modern extension, which made it possible to significantly expand the living area and make all the wishes of the owners come true. One of them is to create a large bright space of the kitchen-dining room and living room, in which the windows overlook the garden and open completely. The rooms in the old building were reserved for the bedrooms and study, and the brick wall connecting the two houses was a great accent piece. The result is secluded rooms in dark colors and large light rooms for spending time together!
