When we hear ‘wooden lake house’, we usually think of an old log cabin, vintage furniture, and fisherman’s decor. But the Canadian studio Akb Architects has offered its own modern take on buildings of this type. This lakeside home in Ontario, Canada is built of wood, but its architecture is austere and minimalist, and the interiors have a stylish and atmospheric dark range. The integration of the building into the local landscape deserves special admiration – we wish all developers respect nature this much!
