No tree was harmed during the construction of this cottage in the woods by the lake on Bainbridge Island, Washington. The architects even designed the terrace around the existing trees, so that they are now an integral part of the house! And in overall, the project was created primarily with the thought of nature and wonderful views – glass walls and interiors in dark tones are here so as not to distract the owners from contemplating the beauty outside the window. A heavenly place!
