Usually, designers like to work with empty, clean spaces, as they usually have a place to roam fantasy. But Nicholas Obeid got probably way too empty space in a pre-war building in the SoHo district of Manhattan: huge open premises with high ceilings and large windows that needed to be properly furnished and decorated. In such cases, there is a risk of overdoing it with details, or creating an inanimate interior like in a showroom, but here the designer did an excellent job designing converting a cold industrial space into a cozy modern home for a young couple. Tasteful design!
