Interesting renovation of 1952 home with 11 bedrooms in Los Angeles

This 1952 California ranch-style home is located an hour and a half north of Los Angeles and offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. A family with small children became the new owners of the 11-bedroom mansion, so it was important to make the interiors feel fresh and suitable for a modern family, while preserving the romance and beauty of the original architecture. The initial decoration of the house was quite brutal: massive plastered walls, terracotta tiled roofs, stone fireplaces and dark ceilings with exposed wooden beams made a gloomy impression. Designers have diluted these elements with white walls, colorful furniture and items from different parts of the world. So, there are plush sofas made of sheepskin from the middle of the last century from Scandinavia, and in the living room – a traditional Japanese paper lantern. As a result, a mix of eras, styles, and meanings has developed into an interesting and multifaceted home!
