Two years ago, Australian designer Linda Gardener discovered a small plot of land next to her home, which she thought would be perfect for a small boutique hotel. Linda created the project entirely from scratch: from a simple barn-shaped facade to the smallest detail. She wanted to make the interiors feel modern, but to make sure there was a place in it for antique objects and memorable things brought from all over the world. This project even features the reuse of finishing materials: the windows, for example, were taken from an old local school. But the soul of the hotel is hidden in the details that Linda masterfully fits into the space: a hanger in the kitchen, on which bags and baskets for visiting the local market are hung, or pencil sketches that the hostess bought in Portugal.
