The new hotel, The Ivens, has recently opened in the heart of Lisbon. Eclecticism, tropics and modern style combine here in a whimsical and beautiful whirlwind. The hotel is located at the intersection of Roberto Ivens and Ermenegildo Capello streets, both of them were famous Portuguese travelers – this is how the theme of Africa and travel in general appeared in the interiors of the hotel. At the same time, tropical motifs and prints with exotic plants do not come to the fore in room decoration, but neatly fit into the modern aesthetics and are combined with milky, gray and brown shades. The spirit of travel is also reflected in the details: photographs, figurines, mirrors in ethnic style. In contrast to the rooms, the public spaces of The Ivens turned out to be more catchy, and the main feature of the hotel was the bar and restaurant. Mirrors were used in the design of the bar, which created an impressive effect, especially when combined with a variety of prints. A very interesting project!
