Spirit of the tropics in design of 19th century home in South Carolina

This 1800s ranch on Sullivan Island, South Carolina has been converted to a weekend getaway. The owners come here for surfing, so they wanted to create a relaxed tropical atmosphere in the interiors. And it all started with adding wood, wicker furniture and wallpaper with exotic plants to the space. The designer also did a great job of selecting prints and textures: the exquisite marble here looks quite organically with patterns in the ethnic style. The light interiors with sand, green and blue accents and numerous flowers and plants in vases and pots will certainly take us somewhere to Southeast Asia, and the pool surrounded by palm trees even more sets us in the holiday mood!
