Perfect mix of traditional and modern design: elegant home in London

Designer Jane Gowers once saw a photograph of this London house for sale in a magazine: a picture-perfect facade and completely unlivable interiors. Despite a huge hole in the floor and crumbling walls, Jane and her husband still decided to buy a house for their large family – it was their old dream. The new owners began by demolishing almost all internal partitions, leaving only the roof and staircase. The designer originally planned a modern design for her home, but after discovering the authentic beauty of the classic spaces of this luxurious Victorian towhouse, she decided to pay tribute to the traditional English style. It cannot be said that the interiors are completely classical, there are also enough modern solutions here, but the elegance of traditional shapes and lines, as well as timeless aesthetics are the cornerstones of this design. The beauty!
