The secret of an ideal reconstruction of an old house is when the designer’s intervention is imperceptible and does not violate the harmony that has been established for many years. We don’t know what this Los Angeles home looked like before the renovation, but to the credit of designer Jake Arnold, today the interior space has a timeless charm and it seems like the house has been standing here for ages. And this despite the fact that almost everything inside had to be replaced – including floors and wall finises. We really liked that the design is built on gorgeous natural materials – both elegant marble and textiles, and rough rustic wood and furniture. Beauty!
