This Los Angeles villa was built by acclaimed Mexican architect Ricardo Legoretta, and its original design had a distinctly Mexican aesthetic with terracotta tones, colorful prints and traditional furnishings. But when it came time for a renovation, the new family of owners asked designer Vanessa Alexander to make the home brighter and more open, in keeping with their vision of the California lifestyle. As a result, the designer filled the interiors with dazzling whiteness, demolished a few interior walls and added her signature sophisticated modern decor. Light and airy home for a laid-back holiday by the ocean!
