What seems like an old abandoned house to ordinary people can be a real gem for a good designer. Charis James, the founder of AKI Studio, immediately saw the potential in the 1890 house in Melbourne, although at first glance the building did not have any attractive appearance. But thanks to a skillful renovation, the owner managed not only to revive the magnificent features of Victorian architecture, but to make them the basis of a very bright and bold modern design.
