From the outside, this residence looks like a typical lake house: a simple but cozy cottage in several sections, wooden masonry, darkened with age, wild forest and water nearby. But inside, during a recent renovation, New York-based designer Ryan Lawson has created what is essentially a brand new home, with contemporary interiors and unexpected bold touches. Different types of tiles and textiles, retro-style furniture, a lot of art objects – the interiors turned out to be original and one of a kind, each room is a separate story and a set of bold solutions. Quite an unusual take on lake house design!
