Designers often choose homes with history, so Tania Handelsmann fell in love at first sight with this 19th-century mansion with classic European features in Sydney. While the home’s interiors were slightly outdated at the time of purchase, the designer saw a lot of potential and character that is not usually found in modern buildings. When the happy owner started the renovation, the main goal was to keep as much of the classic charm as possible in the interiors and let the natural light create a pleasant aura in the rooms. It turned out just wonderful!
