When one family from California was looking for a second home in Belgium, they dreamed of natural light and quiet surroundings, but most of all the couple wanted to find a place with history and character. And they found their ideal home – an elegant 19th-century villa in the neo-Renaissance style, which used to be the summer home of a famous local architect. It had a lot of historical charm, but its condition, to put it mildly, left much to be desired. This did not stop the family, and with great enthusiasm they restored this wonderful house to its former glory. Now it’s a beloved nest with unique architecture and the perfect balance of old and new. Enjoy!
