Suzanne and Robert could not find a suitable holiday home for their family in their native Sweden for a long time; the couple even decided to consider options in Turkey. But when they finally came across this charming old 1940s lakeside cottage, thoughts of sunny Turkey immediately faded into the background. The house was dilapidated and outdated, but this did not put Suzanne and her husband off at all; on the contrary, the prospect of renovating it with their own hands seemed an advantage.
