The architects of this cottage in the woods in North Carolina wanted to create the impression that the house has been there for many years, although it was built recently. But it’s worth starting with the location being simply amazing – the edge of the forest with a view for many miles around, and complete solitude. The most appropriate here would be a barn architecture – thought in the studio D Stanley Dixon Architect and created a house in a traditional rustic style, but with scope. The interiors also feature natural aged wood and vintage pieces, but not without light modern touches. Enjoy!
