When designer Sussy Cazalet moved east from London to Norfolk, her cottage was like a blank canvas – white inside, cold and lifeless. At that moment, she realized that she wanted to surround herself with color, the boldest and most expressive shades. Despite the small windows and limited natural light in the house, the owner decided on a rather bright palette, inspired by the works of the famous abstract artist Mark Rothko.
