holo design – Chinese minimalism with Western influence

The biography of designer YC Chen is quite interesting and rich. He was born in Shanghai, raised in Hong Kong, and received his education on another continent, in the United States, and not even a bad education – he has a business degree from the University of Michigan. Then there were 11 years of work in the field of marketing as a creative director. It is difficult to imagine that a person with such experience can become an interior designer, but this is exactly what happened – in 2009, the wonderful HOO studio was born. The Western influence is well felt in the designer’s works: here is the Scandinavian style, and motifs from modern New York apartments, and even elements of the style of Old Europe. Interestingly, many of the studio’s projects are quite small city apartments in Hong Kong. Very high-quality modern design!
