Wooden house by Istra river in Russia

You can’t imagine a better place to build a wooden cottage for weekend getaways: right in the coniferous forest, moreover, on the banks of the Istra River in Russia. Therefore, the task of the designers of Liturinsky & Leost was not to break the local harmony and to integrate the building into the environment as naturally as possible. Due to the dark facade like tree trunks, the house now almost merges with the forest, and high glazing makes the border between the interior and nature very insignificant. The house is quite interesting from an architectural point of view: it is elongated in shape due to the specifics of the site, and the unevenness of the terrain caused height differences inside the premises. The total area is not the largest – 232 sqm, but there is enough space here to relax in a big company. Nice home
