A small size of the apartment always throws the owners a challenge – what to sacrifice for the sake of comfort. Owners of this small flat (44 sq. m) in Stockholm had to compromise in only one – the sleeping area which they placed under the ceiling so that there is a study below it. Between the bedroom-study and living-dining room there is a small kitchen, which is connected to the corridor. Interesting, that even in the smallest apartments in Sweden there is a small cozy balcony, where it is customary to take time for a cup of warm drink. Did you know that the Swedes have a special word that denotes the tradition of taking a break from work to drink coffee? And this tradition is called “fika”.
