This wonderful stone house in the Cantabria region, Spain, has seen a lot in its lifetime – it was built much more than one hundred years ago, as evidenced by the facade and the preserved wooden gate with a stone fence. The building itself, although impressive from the outside, consisted of small dark rooms inside, which did not at all meet the needs of its new owners. Thanks to an extensive renovation that lasted for 8 years, designer Carolina Sánchez Vadillo was able to let a lot of light into the interiors without disturbing the unique historical charm that reigns in the house. Enjoy!
