It seems that this forest cottage in North Carolina has been standing here for at least 100 years. In fact, there really was a house built in the 1880s on this site, but it was in such a deplorable state that the building had to be demolished and everything had to be built from scratch. The architects tried very hard to restore the cottage with maximum accuracy, so it looks like it is steeped in centuries of history. For greater authenticity, recycled materials were used in the construction, and vintage furniture, which the hostess loves so much, in the decor. Enjoy!
