The intricate architecture and black facades make this Melbourne house seem like a modern build. But in fact, the cottage was erected back in the 1980s, and what we see now is the result of a skillful reconstruction by Atlas Architects. The original building had an inconvenient layout and distribution of spaces, also it was turned back to beautiful views – which is why the owners approached the studio. After the reconstruction, there was much more natural light in the house, on the other hand, the architects actively used black color in the decoration of the walls and ceilings of the house. It turned out bold and very stylish!
