Scandinavian interiors can amaze with their contrasts. In this Swedish apartment, the ceiling with stucco molding and antique watches perfectly coexist with chic photographs, pencil drawings, cushions with prints and modern furniture. This game of opposites makes the interiors live and extraordinary. To chose fancy contemporary details in the apartment in the old house requires a certain boldness, but the result is worth it. Great home!
If you want to enliven an interior you can do so not only with the help of contrast colors and textures but also with accents of pastel tones. In this apartment in Gothenburg the pink color in all possible variations became accentuated. And the individuality and style of the owners were emphasized by original paintings and small details. Enjoy
Not everyone likes classic and retro interiors due to their rigor and seriousness. But the beauty of design is that in any style you can add a bit of irony and catchy memorable strokes. This is what happened with this apartment in New York. Here the elegant fireplace neighbors with super-bright paintings, a marble table with a screen with palm trees, and ancient portraits in gilt frames complement pineapples and pictures of circles. And do not forget, of course, about the skateboard in the shower. In general, your home can be anything: ironic, funny, strict, pompous – the main thing is that you like it!
When journalist Maria Ferraz and her husband first saw this 75-sqm apartment in one of the skyscrapers in São Paulo, Brazil, it was one large open space, only the bathroom was separated. Despite recent popularity of open planning, the family asked their designer to divide space into rooms to have a kitchen, living room and bedroom in the classic sense. The interior design is dominated by loft-style elements (concrete surfaces, black walls, metal details) and vivid paintings. Stylish and functional home!
Gorgeous modernist architecture ensured amazing windows to the full height in this modern apartment in Barcelona and they are now the main feature of the home. Modern interiors are characterized by clean lines and calm natural shades in the decor with colorful abstract paintings as accents. Bright and stylish home!
This one of a kind home in the heart of Moscow impresses with its architecture and location. The owners of the apartment in a 100-year-old building have bought it many years ago, but it was a rental home for a long time until recently they decided to settle here. An interesting history of the house and location predetermined the design concept – the owners approached Akant studio to restore the atmosphere of the past. The second floor (once the building’s attic) was given to kids and was made in a more modern style, but the first floor reveals gorgeous sophisticated modern classic interiors. Stunning project!
Wonderful wall color, the window and door frames, modern furniture and paintings as decor – it is the secret of this very stylish apartment in France. But we can not fail to note the magnificent French architecture, with distinctive windows and high ceilings – without it, the effect would not be the same. Beautiful modern dwelling with notes of creativity!
