This old historic mansion in Briarcliff Manor, New York, needed renovation, but the owners wanted to keep the feel of classic American style. Therefore, the designer decided to add bright colors and accessories and modern furniture. As a result, the home reveals a beautiful combination of the traditional sophistication and vivid character. We especially liked the turquoise bedroom and the pool area. The home that makes an impression!
The Room Mate Gerard located in the heart of Barcelona is a real mystery. Outside it has a gorgeous facade with stucco, and inside spaces are filled with concrete walls, modern sculptures, bright furniture and rooms with black baths. By the way, with all the variety of materials, textures and colors, in general, the hotel interiors look quite minimalist, which is very welcome in hotels as it contributes to a relaxed and easy atmosphere. In addition, you can relax on the roof terrace with a small pool. Awesome place!
This residence in the Italian city of Piacenza in a short time turned from a dilapidated rural house into a stylish mansion in a modern style. The architect William Savaiya restored it by himself, for himself and his family. From the outside, the facade was hardly touched – it was important not to spoil the historical appearance of the castle, surrounded by vineyards and majestic nature. But inside the house has undergone significant changes. Finishing was preserved as much as possible, but all furniture and decor were replaced with new pieces – now everything is bright and modern. Such an amazing contrast made this place even more memorable and unique. Such an interesting project!
Parisian interiors always differ not only in their elegance and style but also in their unusual approaches to solving design questions. In this apartment, for example, the designer came up with a wonderful partition for the kitchen – it visually fences the kitchen from the living room and dining room while not overloading the space. We also loved the bathroom floor tiles – honeycomb fits very well. Not to mention the amazing blue fireplace and the cool green sofa. Great example of modern French design!
The owner of this Barcelona apartment with terrace inherited it several years ago, and after the marriage began a major renovation. Later the couple had children, and now this is a home for a family with two kids, so the interiors are light, pastel, but with a plenty of bright details. The main accent colors here are yellow and green, which blend perfectly and with a view from the window and with a sunny atmosphere in the house itself. Numerous plants nicely complement the look, and also the original carpet, similar to the autumnal lawn strewn with leaves. In such home, good mood is guaranteed all year round!
In the heart of Madrid, designers from ABATON studio beautifully renovated this small apartment in a hundred-year-old house. The main focus here is a vintage green wall in the living room, which sets the mood for the whole home. The rest of the space is snow-white with dynamics in it being set by colorful furniture and details. And we could not miss mentioning that accessories like shoes, bags, scarves, and clothes play the role of decor in this design. Maybe these items have taken their places just for the sake of a photo shoot, but nevertheless, it looks fresh and spectacular!
Putting accents into the interior is not easier than creating an interior from scratch. Details are like a frame for a picture that collects the image of a house or apartment together. In this Parisian apartment, the designer has made a very good choice of color accents. A creamy-gray scheme was diluted with turquoise, red and yellow, and all in the right portion. Also, pictures on the wall were used just right – they give the home a touch of playfulness and add life to it. Everything here is very Parisian: catchy, exquisite and stylish!
This Victorian townhouse in Toronto has been completely redone recently not only inside, but also outside by Whitaker studio. The windows were made larger, the facade was framed with new brickwork, the third floor was also built up and the house was equipped with the “smart house” system. The wonderful modern interiors are decorated in light colors with accents of gold and bronze, but one of the bathrooms stands out with its bright colored wallpapers. Also, we really liked the mini-table in a snow-white bathroom – it looks like a huge golden nugget. Very clean, stylish, and interesting home!
The key to success of almost any design lies in harmony and sometimes harmony can be achieved by playing on contrasts. This bright London townhouse is a good example: interiors combine elements of a country style and loft-themed objects. A similar story with colors: beige and gray are mixed with yellow, gold and brick. There was a place for furniture in the style of the 60’s, bright paintings and unusual lamps. If you look closely at the details, then the interiors can be thought as eclectic, but if you look at the big picture, you feel only the comfort and the fact, that everything is done with love and heart in this home. Wonderful!
Just look at this a delightful cottage near the city of Glastonbury in England that is for rent! The house is designed for 8 people, with three bedrooms, a stunning bathroom and, most importantly, the warm atmosphere of a stylish village house. The basis of the interior design is a combination of white, gray, all shades of red, and such tones are so attractive, very unusual and stylish. Interior designers carefully preserved all the old elements, restored the furniture and added the house with new, but no less authentic, details. Especially we liked the copper table, the bath on the legs and the cozy area near the fireplace. A great place for a weekend with family and friends!
