This bold apartment in Chicago does not look like other colorful homes because here the color is not just in detail or decor, it is the major element of the design. The walls, the floor, the furniture and even the window frames – everything works on the image. The whole secret is that the owner of the apartment, the former jeweler, herself designed the apartment and put in it all the love for color and unusual solutions. In the living room and bedroom combinations do not work on contrast, on the contrary – all the shades of blue and violet are collected together. A hall with a fireplace is quite different – a black and white combination is contrasted with the yellow color. This further strengthens the impression. Perhaps not everyone could live in such a realm of color, but with confidence one can say that there is no other […]
Combining stucco molding, brick and bright colors in one space is a fresh and very original choice. This is exactly what makes the design of this apartment in Poland. Fireplace, parquet, boiserie panels and ceiling rosettes – this is an unquestionable reference to the classics, but it was decided to dilute the spaces with elements of loft style, bright furniture and non-standard accessories. Classic ceilings were decorated with black luminaries in an industrial style, guitars were placed next to the stucco on the walls, and the bath tube with legs has a stripe print. It is unlikely that there is another such a home in the world, as this project is completely unique!
This luxury apartment in Barcelona is first and foremost striking with a large collection of paintings – all the pieces are bright and extraordinary, and have a special place in this home. Thanks to the classic forms and white color, it was possible to find a perfect mix “ludicrous” and “too boring”. The large white and gold bathroom attracts special attention as it’s glamour and gorgeous.
Such a splash of colors and prints in this Atlanta home of designer Kristin Kong was inspired by the 70s of the last century. However, here there are styles from other epochs which made very interesting eclectic interiors. Each room has its own mood and story: a green dining room as if from the fairy tale “Alice in Wonderland”, the living room evokes African motifs, in the bathroom there are touches of Ancient Greece, and the bedroom looks like a blueberry pie. Bold, creative and bright!
This townhouse in London is a real bright splash. Positive mood fills here every room – tropics in the corridor, colorful sofas, a blue shelving and a fireplace in the living room, an orange refrigerator and a whole wine cabinet in the kitchen. Brights wallpapers and a bicycle hanging on the wall. Such a design, by the way, requires no less boldness than, for example, completely black home. Great!
Designer Elena Potapova carried the project of this house in Kaluga region, Russia, from the foundation to the small decor. The wooden cottage of 410 sqm had to be equally comfortable for all family members (parents and four kids). There are two living rooms – one connected to a kitchen, the other – isolated, for family concerts and lessons on the piano. In addition, almost every room in the home has its own color history: gray, blue, turquoise, beige, pink – the home looks fresh and interesting. An excellent project!
Initially, this apartment in Moscow of 46 sqm has a completely different layout. Designer Victoria Vlasova perfectly played with the space and placed the kitchen on the place where laundry once was. Thus, the kitchen joined the living room, and its former place now is occupied by a bedroom. The client is fond of tropical style and bright colors, which became main accents in this home. The interiors are full of live plants, tropical-style decor (paintings, figurines, vases, feathers) and just bright elements. Such a cheerful and bright home!
By the time Zhenya Zhdanova started working on the design of this apartment in Moscow, she had known the owners for a long time, so they gave her complete freedom. As a result, a bright eclectic home with a variety of prints, textures and colors was born. The main colors in the scheme are bold blue, emerald and terracotta, which mix in different combinations. The kitchen is connected to the living room and dining room, and each of the three bedrooms seems to tell its story: from the bright tropical to the sophistication of the “Great Gatsby” style. In such a flashy interior, perhaps not everyone will be comfortable, but the owners love experiments and vivid colors, so this is the favorite and most beautiful place to be for them.
This old historic mansion in Briarcliff Manor, New York, needed renovation, but the owners wanted to keep the feel of classic American style. Therefore, the designer decided to add bright colors and accessories and modern furniture. As a result, the home reveals a beautiful combination of the traditional sophistication and vivid character. We especially liked the turquoise bedroom and the pool area. The home that makes an impression!
This spacious apartment on the 28th floor of one of the Kyiv skyscrapers was designed for a woman who lives alone, so the space was not divided strictly into the rooms but left open with a lot of air. The natural wood and concrete were decided to combine with bright and gentle tones, unusual furniture and accessories. One of the wishes of the client was to create a zone for practicing yoga, this place was decorated with a small garden, which looks interesting in contrast to the panoramic windows and views of the bustling metropolis. Amazing home, where space and freedom are felt as much as incredible energy!
