The clients asked designer Nicole Davis to create a home where they could have warm family gatherings any time of the year, a place to make memories and to feel safe and comfortable. And most importantly, the views from the windows should become an integral part of the interiors. Creating a design, Nicole drew inspiration from nature and surrounding landscapes, so the color scheme consists of light natural shades. Of course, the house has many wooden surfaces, but the lines and shapes are refined and modern. Very light and calm dwelling, filled with air and coziness!
The interiors of this Swiss chalet Lucine look modern and sophisticated thanks to the strict dark elements of the decoration, which together with the wooden base of the house create beautiful contrasts. Architects make everything possible for owners to enjoy stunning views – in addition to the huge windows there is a charming long balcony along the entire perimeter of the house. Dream!
Perhaps, there is no such person that does not dream to spend winter holiday in fairy-tale Alps. But these stunning mountains are associated not only with great skiing and breathtaking landscapes but also with beautiful wooden houses – chalets. We invite you to dream with us and at the same time to enjoy ten example of the coziest, in our humble opinion, real alpine chalets that inspire. Who knows, maybe one day your dream will come true! We wish you this with all our heart!
Chalet is one of the few types of present-day buildings that honor the past and do not hesitate of their roots. Almost always chalet interiors are above the time and history and it is impossible to tell whether the photographs were taken yesterday or 100 years ago. This traditional alpine house in the Swiss village of Verbier is just such – cozy and “like from the past”. One can be fond of modern design or Scandinavian minimalism, but such interiors will delight the eye anyway!
The interiors of this cozy Swedish country home seems to echo the January weather outside the window – completely white, with light notes of blue (as the sky), and also with spruce branches as decoration. But there is one important difference – here, inside is very warm and cozy thanks to the heartful atmosphere that the owner family created. Great home!
There is a big chance that many years ago a mountain chalet for important people looked exactly like this. Just look at this scale and on the magnificent traditional interiors – here it is very easy to get lost in time and dissolve in cozy luxury. The creators of this home purposely emphasized the classic design, because the chalet in its original image is the most beautiful thing that alpine design can give. And what do you think?
Here in Kyiv, we have not seen snow for so long, but it’s winter after all! Therefore today we would like to share beautiful photos of a snow-covered Daphne chalet in Switzerland so that we can virtually experience the atmosphere of the season:). But, of course, not only for this reason – the interiors of this cozy wooden cottage are decorated very nicely and look so cozy. Just like we love!
This Swiss chalet has simply amazing lighting: when all the candles of different shapes and sizes light up, the beams are illuminated, elegant lamps are lit, and the fireplace works, the house is filled with a special and so cozy atmosphere. In addition, interiors themselves deserve some flattering words – designers skillfully combined modern style with traditional Alpine elements. A highlight of the living room is, of course, a red velvet sofa, which looks very elegant and beautiful!
Sorry, this entry is only available in Russian. But you still can enjoy photos.
On our website, we already published both modern chalets and those decorated in a more traditional “classical” way. But Chalet Enora in the French Alps not far from the famous peak of Mont Blanc seems to be out of time and style thanks to its super cozy interiors, which embodied all the best from past and present. It’s even hard to imagine a more beautiful and comfortable mountain home!
