Touches of Provence in design of English country house

Country houses can different, for example, bright and cozy like this charming cottage in Sussex, United Kingdom. The interiors are designed with elements of Provencal style. Centuries ago, the inhabitants of Provence, France, sought to make their homes lighter and more spacious, so the main thing in the Provencal style is pastel colors. It is also difficult to imagine such an interior without aged things and lavender, which not only decorates the house but also carries divine fragrance through it. However, this Anglo-French design is only partly Provencal, there are both classics and pieces of modern style. It is hard to imagine a country house without a barn door and a cozy garden or veranda. The entrance door here is massive, with a forged handle, but a gentle light gray shade. Veranda is immersed in flowers and is the true embodiment of English cordiality and comfort. Very warm and homely design!
