This building on the canal in Amsterdam has a very entertaining story. Initially, in the 1930s, it was the office of a trading company, then since the 1970s the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Amsterdam has been located here. And now this boutique hotel Soho House with 79 rooms. Designer Linda Boronkay did her best to make a comfortable and stylish hotel out of student audiences without losing the historical heritage of the building. The guests are welcomed to the cozy rooms with an abundance of upholstered furniture and textiles, and in the bar and lounge on the first floor, they can relax after work or long walks in the city. We especially liked the copper bathtubs in the rooms and the rooftop pool. And walking along this canal, you do not expect to see such a place inside the building. What a great contrast!
